So, I have taken the step towards my dreams to bring a world that has only existed in my head to life. To share something with the world, maybe even a little piece of me. A little glimpse into my head. With no further ado, I present to you: "Dev Log 1: The Leap!" A bit about me, I have. Always dreamt of creating my own video game. I remember my best childhood friend had Wario Ware on her Nintendo DS, that was probably my first favorite video game, but it never stopped after that. I got my own console (a ps2) with MX vs ATV. I. Was. Stoked. I played it from Christmas all the way to summer break! I always thought "I'm going to make games when I grow up!". Sadly things in life get in the way.. school, work, friends, problems, they all found a way to convince me that being a game developer? Its not possible. Not for me at least. Good luck going to college or making the money for that. I tried being a youtuber, that didn't work out. What makes you think you can be a game developer? So I gave up. I completely even forgot about the dream. Just like most people life gets in the way. Then I had my beautiful family. I saw my son's passion for video games, and one day he came to me and said "Dad, when I grow up, I want to be just like you!" If you've never been a parent you might not get it, but when you hear those words, something changes inside of you. I realized I had been living in a world that was not my own. I was living in a world that had been formed by the judgement of the world around me, and I had not truly seen things, or thought things my own way. So I woke up. I realized I had to be the little James that wanted to make a difference, wanted to make games, for myself, and for my son, and here we are. I will never give up! This message goes out to all you who felt you'd never be good enough, YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO! So cheers to Bentley (my son), and let's freaking knock the socks off of this thing bud! (Bentley will be giving me moral support, and ideas along the way! For example it was his idea to implement the crafting, and items resources part of the game!)
